The Wall street Journal reports that Apple CEO Steve Jobs received a liver transplant about two months ago to treat some ongoing complications from his previous pancreatic cancer:
Steve Jobs, who has been on medical leave from Apple Inc. since January to treat an undisclosed medical condition, received a liver transplant in Tennessee about two months ago. Apple CEOのSteve Jobes氏は膵臓癌からの合併症に対し、テネシーにて２ヶ月前に肝移植を受けた．Jobs氏は現在よく回復しており、予定通り今月末には，最初はパートタイムになりそうだが，職務に復帰出来る見込みである．（原文から中略）
また専門家の意見として、「肝臓移植をした理由は，原発である膵臓がんの肝臓転移であるかもしれない．また、肝移植を受けた場合の正確な治癒率は議論のある所であるが、全ての原因の肝移植での５年生存率は約７５％くらいであろう．」としている
幸いにもパートタイムではありますが，職務に復帰出来そうであるとの事．少しだけ安心しました．早く元気なJobs氏を見たいと言うのはAppleファンの願いではありますが，なるべく無理をされずに順調な回復を願いたいと思います．
